What an inner circle is

A small, tight-knit community of men committed to becoming better versions of themselves.

By conventional measures, the men here are doing fine. That's part of what makes it hard to talk about. Success answers a lot of questions and leaves the harder ones alone, and there aren't many places a man can say so out loud.

This is one of those places.

We meet once a month for two hours. We practice meditation or breathwork, and then we talk about what's actually going on. Nobody performs here. You get heard, and you get held to what you said matters to you.

Between calls we stay in touch. When something goes sideways for one of us, the others show up. Not out of obligation, but because by then you actually know each other.

A few times a year we get together in person. Being in the same room does something video calls can't.

Most of the men here are busy. Entrepreneurs, executives, creatives, fathers. None of that earns you anything in this room. What matters is whether you do the work, and whether the people around you can feel that you have.

Most of our men are entrepreneurs, executives, or fathers in their 30s and 40s. What they share isn't a job title. It's a willingness to be honest and go deeper.

Who this is for

This isn't for everyone.

We're building this slowly and on purpose. You don't need to have it figured out. You do need to have looked inward before, and to be willing to keep going.

  1. You take responsibility for your life.

We don't control everything that happens to us. We're still responsible for how we meet what happens next.

  2. You're honest, even when it's uncomfortable.

The work only happens when men tell the truth.

  3. You want real connection, not networking.

We're not building a business directory. We're building brotherhood.

  4. You can commit to showing up consistently.

One 2-hour call per month, minimum. That's the ask.

  5. You're open to giving and receiving support.

You'll be heard. You'll also be expected to show up for others.

  6. You've done some inner work before.

Therapy, meditation, breathwork — something. You know what it means to look inward.

How it began

It started with a retreat.

In September 2024, we brought a group of men together for five days of meditation, movement, breathwork, time in nature and honest conversation. There was laughter, tears, discomfort, tenderness, and a lot of opening up.

By the end, the men wanted to stay connected. So we kept meeting. For the past two years, the same eight to ten men have gathered on Zoom once a month.

The ongoing relationship matters. It gives us somewhere to return with the things that are still difficult, long after a retreat has ended.

Some of the questions we've sat with

  • What are my values?
  • What does good leadership look like?
  • What have I actually integrated from the experiences I call transformative?
  • In what ways am I hiding or playing small?
  • How can I be a better father, son or partner?

How to join

Three steps into a circle.

  1. Join the waitlist

Tell us a little about yourself. We read every application personally.

  2. Come on retreat

Attending a retreat with us comes first, because we want these relationships to begin with time spent together in person.

  3. Join a new circle

When a new circle opens, we'll reach out to men on the waitlist who've been on retreat with us.
